Getting started

From install to your first grab in five steps. The full documentation lives on GitHub.

  1. Install the mod

    Prisma2R is a Python mod for Prisflex, so Prisflex needs to be installed and running on your PC first. When the first release is out, download it from GitHub releases and follow the install steps in its README.

    Coming from Radarr or Sonarr? Use Import from Radarr and Import from Sonarr in Settings → Connections → Import to bring over your movies and shows with their monitored state, profiles, custom formats, naming, tags, history and blocklist. Your SABnzbd categories carry over.

  2. Add your indexers

    Go to Settings → Downloader & Indexers and choose Add Indexer. Prisma2R reads Newznab indexers.

    • Type the indexer's API key once. It is kept in config.json and never shown again.
    • Switch on what each indexer is for: Movies RSS, Movies Search, TV RSS and TV Search, and give it a priority.
    • Use Test to check it. Prisma2R keeps checking indexer health and backs off from one that is failing.
    • The RSS interval sets the minutes between two RSS syncs.

    Use only indexers you are allowed to use.

  3. Add a Usenet server

    Prisma2R has its own Usenet downloader, so there is no separate download client. In Settings → Downloader & Indexers, add the news server details from your Usenet provider. You can add several news servers.

    • Downloads get priorities and can be paused and resumed; repair and unpacking are built in.
    • The disk-space guard warns you before a drive fills up. Delete After Import cleans up finished downloads.
    • You can also add your own NZB files from Grab → Downloads.

  4. Add a list

    Go to Settings → Import Lists, pick a kind under New list of kind… and choose Add List. Prisma2R reads your own lists, collections, and top lists and charts from the list services you use.

    For each list, choose whether it adds titles automatically, what to monitor, the quality profile and the root folder. New titles on the list are then added and searched for by themselves. To make a similar list, use Copy: its settings come with it.

  5. Make your first grab

    Add a movie or show with Grab → Add New. The search looks titles up online, so Prisma2R needs an internet connection for it.

    Then open Grab → Missing. Search shows what Prisma2R would grab; Search All Available has Prisma2R search and download them. Follow the download in Grab → Downloads.

    When it finishes, Prisma2R names the file with your naming from Settings → File Naming and imports it. To check names first, use the rename preview.
